Ariana Kramer

Ariana Kramer is currently the Orchestra Director and Music Technology teacher at Stafford Middle school, in Stafford, VA. Previously, she served as the choral director from 2015-2020, and interim Orchestra Director of 7th and 8th grade Orchestras for the 2019-2020 school year. Prior to Stafford Middle, Ariana was the Instrumental Music Director at John F. Kennedy High School in Silver Spring, Maryland. At Kennedy, Ariana directed the Marching, Concert, Pep, Beginning, and Jazz Bands, Orchestra, Percussion Ensemble, Brass Quintet, and two guitar classes. She also has experience teaching Elementary Instrumental Music with Arlington County Public Schools, and Middle and High School Band experience at Medina Valley Middle and High Schools in Castroville, Texas. At Medina Valley, Ariana conducted the middle school Symphonic and Concert Bands and beginning Woodwinds; the front ensemble for marching band and indoor drumline, and individual and small-group pullouts from the high school ensembles as needed. She has maintained an active private lessons studio since 2005 and served as the the Assistant Conductor for the Potomac Valley Youth Orchestra’s Philharmonia Orchestra in Gaithersburg, MD from 2015-2017.

In addition to her teaching experience, Ariana has a strong interest in Educational Technology. She has always worked to incorporate technology into her music classrooms, and worked to further her knowledge and study through Boise State’s Master of Educational Technology program, which she completed with distinction in August of 2017. Ariana's students not only learn music fundamentals, but how to use various forms of technology for writing, presentations, creating music, and video. She develops lessons and projects that ensure her students are fluent in music and technology skills throughout their time with her, and she collaborates with other subjects to create cross-curricular application of knowledge. She is a Google Certified Level 2 Educator.
